George H. Gayet
The sad part is that so many years have passed since we all attended A B Davis, but the good part is that we are still around to talk about it. I only spent my senior year at Davis but it was a lot of fun and I met some great friends. Having a love for music, I was in the band and participated in many lunchtime jams in the music room. At the time I had ambitions in music and automobile design but always liked building things. After high school I studied construction technology at Westchester Community College and eventually got a BS in Industrial Management from Fairleigh Dickinson in New Jersey. My career started out in construction engineering and worked it’s way over to Real Estate Property Management where it is still going. After the few initial jobs I ended up in Rockefeller Center where I spent twenty-Three years managing large high-rise office buildings. After retirement from Rockefeller Center I continued my career running a Data Center building in New Jersey the past ten years plus for New York Life Insurance Company. My immediate plans call for another year or two at New York Life. I am very fortunate for the career I have but most important I am very fortunate to have my wonderful wife Suzanne, our son Glenn, my two daughters Laura and Lisa and two beautiful grand children.
