Ronald Innecken
After graduating from A.B. Davis in 1957, I received a congressional appointment to Kings Point (U.S. Merchant Marine Academy). I graduated from Kings Point in 1961 with a B.S. degree in engineering, a Coast Guard license as Engineering Officer and a commission as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy. I spent time on active duty in the Navy based out of Little Creek, VA with a short stay in Vietnam. After coming off active duty, I spent some time sailing as engineering officer on ships traveling through the Panama Canal to Central and South America. I came ashore and went to work for Honeywell as a sales engineer. I married and had four daughters (Alicia, Cyndi, Kim and Ginny). While living in New Rochelle and Long Island, I returned to school for my MBA at Pace University, stayed in the Naval Reserve and retired as LCDR. In 1973, Honeywell transferred me to Illinois as marketing manager where I lived for five years before I was transferred to California’s Silicon Valley as sales manager with a semiconductor division. My wife and I divorced and she remained in Illinois. I met and married my wife Linda, a California girl who is convinced that I only married her because she had a son. After Honeywell, I worked for TRW and Philips Semiconductor where I did considerable traveling to Europe and the Far East. In 1998 I retired and a short time later, so did Linda, telling me that there was no way she would keep working if I was retired. In 2001 we put our house on the market and moved to Arizona in 2002. We are now enjoying golf, travel, golf, good restaurants, golf, theater and, oh yes, golf. All our children are settled, living in California (2), Illinois (1) and Arizona (2) along with five grandchildren.
