Bette Lou Subit Croll
This 1957 graduate of A. B. Davis High School is looking for an interesting life after retirement. Currently single and a mother of two plus: Cheryl, a classy 1961 model, Michael, a sporty 1968 model, plus an "adopted" daughter Laurie, son-in-law Joe, and two fabulous grandchildren, Lauren and Bryce. Having resided in Connecticut for too many years, she has recently purchased a home in The Villages, Florida, and will relocate there in the spring of 2007. After obtaining her B.A. and M.A., and teaching for several years, this versatile lady provided State of Connecticut employees with retirement and relevant information as well as lots of support, as a pension specialist, before retiring in 1998. Persuaded by well-meaning friends, she foolishly moved on to similar work for City of Hartford (CT) employees, rendering her totally burned out from counseling, calculating benefits, legislative writing, etc. By reunion time, a second retirement should find her with more time to relax and happily pursuing her hobbies such as community activities, traveling, swimming, reading, and playing pickleball, mah jongg, and computer games. Also, talking (in person, by phone and to herself), sending long emails to friends and unsuspecting others, and hopefully in the future, communicating with many of her friends from her early Mt. Vernon days, whom she lost contact with over the many years. She is seeking to reconnect with any former classmates. Interested parties can contact Bette (Subit) Croll at
